Detailed Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Shillong & Local Sightseeing

Guwahati / Shillong • Umiam Lake • Police Bazaar

Arrive at Guwahati / Shillong and meet our representative.
Drive to Shillong with a scenic halt at Umiam Lake view point.
Check-in at the hotel and rest for a while.
Later, explore nearby café streets and local markets at Police Bazaar.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2

Shillong to Cherrapunji – Waterfalls & Caves

Shillong • Shillong Peak • Cherrapunji

Have breakfast at the hotel and start for Cherrapunji.
En route, visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls (time permitting).
In Cherrapunji, visit viewpoints and iconic waterfalls as per season.
Explore a cave (such as Arwah / Mawsmai) with basic guided access.
Check-in at Cherrapunji / return to Shillong (as per chosen variant).

Day 3

Dawki & Mawlynnong – Crystal Waters & Cleanest Village

Cherrapunji / Shillong • Dawki • Mawlynnong

After breakfast, head towards Dawki near the India–Bangladesh border.
Enjoy a boat ride on the Umngot River (charges extra, subject to weather).
Proceed to Mawlynnong, known for its cleanliness and charming lanes.
Visit viewpoints and take a relaxed village walk.
Drive back to your hotel and stay overnight.

Day 4

Living Root Bridge Excursion / Free Day

Optional Trek • Local Experiences

Post breakfast, you can opt for a guided trek to a nearby living root bridge (distance and duration vary – can be customised).
Those not keen on trekking can enjoy a relaxed day with nearby sightseeing.
Evening free time to explore cafés or simply unwind at the stay.
Overnight stay in Shillong / Cherrapunji as per plan.

Day 5

Departure – Back with Beautiful Memories

Shillong • Guwahati Departure

Have breakfast and complete hotel check-out.
Drive back towards Guwahati / Shillong airport or railway station.
Trip ends with wonderful memories of Meghalaya.
